About Us

It’s not really “us” unless you consider the help I get from my so-much-better-half, Susan; my beautiful wife of over 47 years, with whom, we produced 5 children, 15 grand-children, 3 great grand children and as of this writing, 1 more great in the oven! Along with her tremendous support, she sometimes helps with wood projects and home projects like painting.

This site is mostly about me. I am George Whittaker.  As a Professional Handyman with years of hands-on practical home building, remodeling, home repairs and home maintenance projects, I have the tools, and the knowledge complimented by the years of experience to get your project done right the first time! Now, as a Professional Woodworker, that started as one of my hobbies, I can now deliver hand-made, professional looking woodworking projects that will amaze and delight you and to whomever you gift.  

The company is now positioned to provide both Home Projects and Woodworking Projects. 

I am also an electrician, carpenter and plumber and these are have been part of the daily routine for me for these past ten years! For every Home Project, I want to help you with today as well as years from now, I want you to count on me being available for you. I will arrive when I say. I will do what I say, I will do everything for the flat-fee labor price quoted.

In the Woodworking area, my hobby has turned into a large part of this business. Starting out years ago performing furniture repairs and then making wooden “things” upon request, I now have intentionally included woodworking projects as part of my business activities. I specialize in custom woodworking.  Not the run of the mill stuff.  Specialties you may have never heard of like band saw boxes, split boxes, wooden items you would not expect.  I’ve invested in a laser cutting and engraving machine and will be advertising the availability of engraving your stuff you own or my stuff that I make and sell or anyone’s stuff. The possibilities with this machine are endless.  It’s in the process of being installed as of February 6 and should be completed in a few weeks. It has to have a pretty heavy-duty exhaust system to the outside as well as compressed air pressure to the unit to keep the laser cool.

Please look through the new menu item above called Wood It Be Nice! to see pictures of what can be made for you.  The pics are not all made by me. The actual items WILL be made with my hands. As this has been a hobby until now, I did not keep pics of everything I’ve done. But I can assure you that if it’s shown here, I can do it.

The bottom line is that we will treat you the we want to be treated.
